Covid-19 Update

OUR CLINIC IS NOW OPEN

With the gradual re-opening of the economy, our clinic has re-opened to provide much needed in person rehabilitation services. As we continue to monitor this evolving situation, the safety of our clients, providers and community at large remains our first priority.

THE CHANGES WE HAVE MADE:

In keeping with the guidelines provided by the Public Health advice and Workplace Safety Guidelines, MedEx has implemented the following changes to both our clinics’ physical setup and operational procedures including:

  • Reducing seating capacity in reception areas to maintain distancing
  • Sanitizing all reception and common areas at least once every 3 hours
  • Sanitizing all treatment rooms & equipment between each patient visit
  • Screening all staff & practitioners prior to entering the clinic for their shifts
  • Having all staff stay 6-feet apart, wear a level 2 surgical mask & wash their hands regularly
  • Having all practitioners wear gloves & a KN95 or level 2 surgical mask during treatment
  • Screening patients on the phone and in-person before entering the clinic
  • Requiring patients to wear a mask while at all time while in the clinic
  • Disallowing outdoor shoes inside the clinic
  • Ensuring hand sanitizer is readily available for all patients

Limiting daily patient bookings to allow for physical distancing and for cleaning treatment rooms & equipment between                                             appointments

Your Screening and Appointment Protocol

A three-step screening protocol will be implemented before you enter the clinic – including two passive screens and one active at the door to the clinic. If you are experiencing any respiratory or flu-like symptoms or have travelled to any areas where the Coronavirus is spreading, we would ask that you wait a period of 14 days before coming to an appointment. Please call us and we would be happy to reschedule your appointment.

We are asking all clients to please wear their own face masks during treatment sessions, whether in clinic or at home. If you do not have a mask, we will help you source one. Please wash or disinfect your hands upon entering the clinic and again before you leave.

We will continue to keep informed with Public Health protocols and implement any recommended safety measures that aren’t already in place. We thank you for taking the time to read this and doing your part in ensuring the health, safety and well-being of all.
